How it came about.

In the early 2000’s I had reawakened my passion in UK Hip Hop, particularly the scene from the late 80’s - early 90’s known as ‘the golden era’. Online forums such as The Heroes of UK Hip Hop allowed me to find like-minded fans of the scene, and in 2006 after getting approval from the relevant people, I decided to print up a batch of T-Shirts celebrating one of the groups from the scene.

As this initial batch went down so well, I decided to reach out slowly to other artists, get them on board and do the same with them. It was a time when very few people were talking about these artists, and I was happy to be part of a niche scene that steadily grew over the years resulting in some of the artists coming back to record new music and a healthy crop of related record labels starting up.
